Tyre size

The tyre size is printed on your tyres. The format is width in mm / height as a % of the width, followed by R for radial and the rim diameter in inches.

Winter tyre or summer tyre

You can recognise a winter tyre by the sipes (small slits) in the tread pattern. See image 1. A winter tyre is also identified internationally by the logo shown in image 2. Often, the tyre also displays the marking M+S (image 3), which stands for Mud and Snow.
