Cancellation Conditions

How to cancel?

Cancellations must always be submitted to us by email (verhuur@topspace.nl).
Especially when you make a last-minute reservation, these conditions apply. Read below to understand why.

Cancellation scale

Your rental period starts today:

You pay 75% of the rental amount as cancellation fees.

Your rental period starts within 3 days:

You pay 50% of the rental amount as cancellation fees.

Your rental period starts within 10 days:

You pay 25% of the rental amount as cancellation fees, with a minimum of 15 euros.

You are already on the road and return earlier:

Your rental will be calculated according to the standard price calculation for the adjusted rental period. For 50% of the difference in rental fee, taking into account the minimum rental period of 8 days, you will receive a voucher valid for 12 months.

What do we do when we receive a reservation?

At the moment we receive a reservation, we start processing it immediately. And quickly, because you want to know whether everything is arranged and you want to rely on being able to use the rented items on the reserved date. Especially when a reservation is made at short notice and during a busy period, this process becomes more critical than when we receive it far in advance.
We must check more things, such as direct availability, logistical constraints, and we must immediately perform checks on personal details and vehicle data.

Why cancellation fees?

We immediately make the rented items available for you and therefore unavailable for other customers.
The tasks we perform right after receiving your reservation are: reviewing your reservation and converting it into an order by allocating items; adding the items to our rental planning; sometimes shipping items; notifying the installation location; checking your personal details; verifying vehicle data if necessary; creating an iDEAL payment link with the bank; and registering you in our financial administration to follow the payment.

How does a customer agree to the cancellation conditions?

A customer must agree to the cancellation conditions; otherwise, we cannot process the reservation. Our reservation procedure is set up in such a way that you cannot complete the reservation without agreeing to these conditions.
If you cancel for a compelling reason and you have cancellation insurance, you may be able to recover the costs there.
